Quick Answer
A Minotti Bezier sofa replica can be sourced from Foshan, China, but quality varies. Better versions reproduce the curved seat front, tapered backrest frame, balanced foam, clean module fit and stitching, not only the overall shape.
Price: a common 3.24 m fabric configuration is around RMB 10,000, with normal production taking about 30 days.
Quality: Foam-only structure nor access proves quality. The foam response and sitting feel must still be tested.
Size and comfort: choose proven modules and check the full depth. The sculptural shape is striking, but the low, firm backrest suits normal sitting better than long periods of lounging.

My Final Advice
1. How to verify the quality of a Bezier replica sofa
Learn more about how to judge replica furniture quality in China.
In Foshan showrooms, one of the most common sales lines is: “We took apart the original and reproduced it one to one.” I do not treat that sentence as proof of quality.
Some original pieces circulate between showrooms and factories for a short time. One factory may have only a few days to take photos, record videos and measure the exterior before the sofa moves to the next business. In some cases, the product cannot be fully opened at all.
When a factory says it has “studied the original”, that could mean it saw the sofa in a showroom, measured the outside, opened part of the upholstery, or completed a full internal study followed by several rounds of sampling. These are not the same level of research.
Even with the original sofa in front of them, a factory still needs people who understand soft-furniture structure, foam behaviour, upholstery tension and three-dimensional curves. Access to the original is useful. Product development ability is what turns that access into a convincing sofa.
The Seat-Front Curve Starts with the Base
The Bezier seat should have a soft, rounded front edge rather than an almost straight line. This curve is created mainly with shaped foam, so the wooden base must remain low enough to leave sufficient room for it. A tall rectangular base reduces the foam volume, often making the seat front look flatter, heavier and feel harder. However, a low base still requires suitable plywood thickness and proper reinforcement at load-bearing points.

2. Minotti Bezier Sofa Foam System
The original Minotti Bezier sofa does not use a conventional suspension system such as springs or elastic webbing. Instead, its comfort comes from a complex combination of shaped foam layers designed to feel soft while still supporting the body.
This is where accurate replication becomes difficult. A factory may use many types of foam but still fail to reproduce the intended sitting feel. Without careful testing of foam density, thickness, shape and layering, the result can feel hard or sink unevenly.
Many manufacturers struggle with this balance. If the foam is simply stacked to copy the appearance without properly studying comfort and support, the result may be worse than a well-made sofa with a traditional spring or webbing system.
What I Check During a Sitting Test
Does the seat feel excessively hard at first contact?
Does the body settle gradually after a few seconds?
Do the main seat, connection area and chaise feel consistent?
Is the centre of the backrest softer than the outer structure?
Does the front edge press against the back of the legs?
Does the foam recover gradually after the person stands up?

3. The Internal Frame Must Leave Room for Foam
A Good Backrest Frame Tapers Upward
When I inspect a Bezier-style frame, I pay close attention to the side profile of the backrest. A better frame is wider at the bottom and gradually becomes narrower toward the top. It should not look like a thick rectangular block from bottom to top.
A tapered frame may appear to use less wood, but that is not necessarily cost cutting. In this design, removing unnecessary hard structure creates more room for foam around the upper backrest and the area that touches the body.
If the frame is a thick rectangular block, the wood occupies space that should have been used for cushioning. The finished backrest may look heavier and feel harder, even if a thin layer of soft foam is added on top.
The tapered shape is not enough on its own. I still check the load-bearing area at the bottom, the connection to the seat base, reinforcement points and the actual thickness of the foam.

Frame Materials and Assembly
According to production information supplied by one of our long-term partner factories, most of its frame uses ENF-grade plywood, with two 18 mm plywood layers in the base. Curved components are drawn in CAD and cut by CNC equipment.
ENF is an emissions grade. It does not prove frame strength on its own. Board thickness, load-bearing positions, joint design and assembly quality still matter.
At the frame stage, the joints are glued before assembly and then mechanically secured. This can improve stability.
4. Small Details That Change the Finished Sofa
Module Connections
The Bezier system relies on irregular modules to create one continuous composition. After connection, the seat heights should match and the curves should flow naturally from one module to the next.
A visible gap, a sudden change in direction or a hard edge near the joint can make the whole sofa feel cheaper, even when the individual modules look good on their own.

Six Millimetre Double Stitching
The version shown by our partner factory uses a Durkopp sewing machine to produce double stitching with an approximate 6 mm spacing.
The presence of two lines does not prove good workmanship. I check whether the lines stay parallel around a curve, whether the fabric pulls or wrinkles and whether neighbouring upholstery panels align correctly.

Fabric Changes the Sitting Feel
Fabric affects more than colour. A fabric with greater stretch allows the seat surface to move more freely with the foam, so the first contact may feel softer. A less elastic fabric, or one fitted with more tension, can make the same foam feel firmer.
For a large curved sofa, I check composition, weight, stretch, abrasion performance, cleaning requirements and how the colour looks over a large area. A small sample cannot show the complete effect.
A few temporary ripples are not always a defect. The large seat surface does not use buttons or deep pulling points. If the cover is stretched too tightly only to look perfectly flat, it may restrict the foam and increase stress on the seams.
5. Minotti Bézier Sofa Size
The Bezier sofa is not a sofa with only a few fixed lengths. According to the official technical information, it includes 37 different modules when ottomans are included. Left- and right-hand versions are counted as one module type.
These seats, open-end elements, chaise modules and ottomans can create many straight, corner, open or enclosed arrangements. The official Minotti page describes the elements as organically shaped and widely combinable.
Reference: Minotti Bezier product page.
Across the wider Foshan supply chain, factories can be found for the different original module specifications. That does not mean every factory has sampled and produced all 37 modules. For any selected layout, I still want to see evidence that the supplier has made the relevant modules before.
The five configurations below are completed examples from one long-term partner supplier. They are not a complete size chart and do not mean buyers are limited to these five lengths.
3.24 m and 3.75 m with the Same Large Round Chaise

3.58 m and 4.08 m with the Same Large Irregular Chaise

3.54 m Straight Configuration

6. Price and Production Time
Minotti does not publish one fixed global retail price for the Bézier sofa. The final quotation depends on the selected modules, upholstery and country of purchase. One public European dealer listing shows a price of around €11,000, while larger configurations in other markets can cost considerably more. A like-for-like dealer quotation is therefore needed before comparing it with a replica.
For reference, a common 3.24 m fabric configuration with the full-size round chaise and a shorter adjoining seat is around RMB 15,000 from our long-term partner supplier.
This is a product-price reference for that configuration, not a fixed price for every Bezier-style sofa. International shipping is not included. The final quotation depends on the modules, fabric, internal specification and whether the selected configuration has already been produced. Larger arrangements such as 3.58 m, 3.75 m and 4.08 m should be quoted by module rather than by a simple price per meter.
Normal production takes about 30 days after the modules, direction, fabric, color and internal specification are confirmed. A new module development or unavailable fabric can extend the lead time.

7. My Honest Sitting Experience
The Bezier Looks Good but It Is Not for Every Sitting Style
After looking at the frame, foam and module sizes, there is still one direct question: is the Bezier actually comfortable?
I have personally sat on the 3.24 m version from our partner supplier and on Bezier-style sofas made by other Foshan factories. The difference in foam tuning is easy to feel. Some versions feel hard immediately and never settle naturally. A better-tuned version supports the body first and then allows a slower, controlled sink as the memory foam compresses.
Even with a better foam balance, I would not describe the Bezier as my first choice for long periods of reclining. This is not only a foam issue. It comes from the design itself.
The backrest is low, and the outer backrest structure feels relatively firm. In a normal upright position, it provides support. When I lean back, watch television for a long time or try to rest in a half-reclined position, my shoulders and head do not receive enough support.
The separate lumbar cushion helps the lower back, but it cannot fully solve the limitation of a low backrest.
My honest view is that the Bezier is first a sculptural sofa for the room and second a sofa for deep lounging. It works well for clients who value the shape, the composition and normal seated use. Buyers who spend hours reclining, sleeping or watching television should sit on it first or consider a higher-backed design.
Compared with the Camelot-style sofa I have tested, the Camelot gives a faster sense of softness and enclosure. The Bezier looks more controlled and architectural, but it is less forgiving in relaxed positions.
Comfort is personal. Height, weight, posture, foam specification and fabric tension all change the experience. My point is not that nobody will find it comfortable. It is that a beautiful showroom image cannot answer this question for the buyer.

8. Who Is This Sofa Best For
I Would Recommend It To
Buyers who place strong value on the visual impact of the living room.
People who like low profiles, organic curves and unusual modular layouts.
Homes with enough width and depth for a large curved chaise.
Clients who mainly use the sofa for receiving guests and normal seated use.
Buyers who are comfortable choosing from proven modules and configurations.
I Would Not Recommend It First To
People who want a high backrest and clear head support.
Anyone who spends long periods reclining, sleeping or watching television on the sofa.
Buyers who put deep softness and an enveloping feeling above appearance.
Small rooms that require the large chaise itself to be reduced.
Anyone who assumes “no springs and no webbing” automatically means better comfort.
9. What I Check Before Shipment
1. Dimensions and direction. Confirm the overall span, maximum depth, module count and chaise direction against the approved layout.
2. Module connections. Check gaps, seat height, curve continuity and any hard edge near a joint.
3. Sitting feel. Test the main seat, connection area and chaise instead of pressing the foam only by hand.
4. Backrest and lumbar cushion. Check support, softness and whether the cushion height hides too much of the low backrest.
5. Fabric and stitching. Confirm the fabric reference, color, texture, seam alignment and double-stitching quality.
6. Recovery after sitting. Allow memory foam to recover gradually, but investigate large permanent dents or major differences between seats.

11. Frequently Asked Questions
Can the chaise be made on the left or right
In most configurations, the direction can be confirmed before production. It should be decided from the balcony, windows, television position, doors and main walkway rather than personal preference alone.
What information is needed for an accurate quotation
Send the room plan, main dimensions, preferred configuration, chaise direction, fabric reference and destination city or postal code. Shipping cannot be calculated accurately from the sofa length alone.
Can the sofa be delivered directly to an overseas home
Yes. Depending on the destination, we can arrange consolidated shipping, a full container or door-to-door delivery. Access details such as the lift, stairs, doorway and final floor should be checked before shipment.
12. My Final Advice
If you like the Bezier, first decide whether appearance or long-term lounging comfort matters more to you. Its curves can make it the visual centre of a room, but the low backrest will not suit every sitting habit.
If you are considering a Bezier-style sofa from China, send us your floor plan, preferred configuration, chaise direction, fabric reference and destination city or postal code. We can help you identify a Foshan supplier with relevant production experience, check the layout, follow production, inspect the finished sofa and arrange door-to-door shipping and after-sales support.
